Third Sector

Associations and unions are key actors of the third sector in Germany. Their organizational forms and levels as well as their aims and objectives vary to a large extent.
Especially associations have established long-term organizational structures and focus on the representation of their own interests and goals. In doing so, they operate, depending on their organizational level and geographical scope, on different levels, be it on the local/regional level, the state or federal level, or the international level.
zze provides advice to associations and unions that operate on a regional, state, and federal level on a large number of processes: for example the development and implementation of concepts for the promotion of civic engagement, the establishment and expansion of quality management, the evaluation of their offers as well as their needs assessment.

Examples of our services and activities

• Evaluation of the pilot project „Flucht und Gesundheit“ (refugees and health) conducted by the Baden Red Cross state association, the AIDS-Hilfe Freiburg e.V. and different district chapters of the German Red Cross (2010). Network analysis of the modes of operation, chances and limits of the model program in regard to the improvement of health care and disease prevention for refugees.
• Evaluation of the Freiwilligenkolleg of the Förderverein für Jugend und Sozialarbeit (development association for youth and social work) with the help of qualitative and quantitative social research methods (2009)
